The intersection of Routes 51 and 88 in Overbrook includes the replacement of five bridges, construction of a new bridge, turning lane construction, signal upgrades and lighting. McCrossin Foundations was subcontracted to install temporary shoring at five locations, drilling for new bridge caissons and drilling for a new precast retaining wall along Saw Mill Run Creek. Work was completed over several years and several mobilizations to fit the General Contractors schedule as work became available. Drilling often took place within close proximity to live traffic and in low-overhead configuration to avoid utility lines.
