We installed 173 rock anchors for the construction of new biological treatment tanks as part of the Porter-Tower Joint Municipal Authority Waste Water Treatment Plant Upgrades.
The rock anchors, designed to provide an uplift capacity of 75 kips each, were installed in sandstone to a drill depth of 10.5 linear feet. Double corrosion protection was required for the rock anchors. Fifteen percent of the rock anchors installed were tension tested to 133% of design load.
This work started in late June 2013 and finished in the first week of July 2013.
